Medieval and modern Salento in a linguistic perspective: a critical overview (2000-2019) ยท The article proposes a critical overview of the linguistic researches concerning Salento (Extreme South-Eastern Italy) published in the last 20 years, with particular regard to Historical Linguistics ("Storia della Lingua Italiana") and Dialectology. The main focus is on studies and editions of Medieval Romance texts. Some related disciplines, such as Lexicology, Historical and Dialectological Lexicography, Syncronic Linguistics and Digital Humanities are also taken into account.
