Abstract:
PY Jn 829 is one of the better known and most frequently cited tablets of the Linear B archives from Pylos. It contains a list of amounts of bronze and is a basic text for any discussion on Mycenaean taxation. The article aims to demonstrate that the tax was intended to produce weapons for the fleet.
