Behavior of Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles in Terrestrial Systems - Evaluation Through Batch and Leaching Column Tests
Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2017
abstract:
Soil properties influenced the size of aggregates, the amount of n-TiO2 in soil solution, as well as the mobility of n-TiO2 when suspended or leached in different soils; Organic soil showed a lower and well-defined bimodal size distribution of aggregates, higher amount of Ti in the soil solution and higher mobility of n-TiO2 through the soil columns; Dissolve ions (soil ionic strength) in sandy soils was the factor which greatly reduced the availability and mobility of n-TiO2 in the sandy soils
