abstract:
The widespread dissemination of new tools for the geographical information is transforming the traditional geography, as well as the way to produce cartography, via different techniques and new forms of production and sharing of the contents. The 'user-created' cartography, also referred to as collaborative mapping, is a growing phenomenon, thanks to the ease of building itineraries with the GPS in the smartphones.
"Conoscere per conoscerci " is an "Alternanza Scuola Lavoro" project of the CNR ITABC developed in three schools of Rome and its area, in which the students, via unconventional tools and on-line applications (neo-geographic practices), during the GISDay 2016, organized by the ESRI, visited three representative locations in their area (Villa Borghese in Rome, Historical Center of Monterotondo, Villa Adriana in Tivoli) to built a web map and to promote the digital storytelling as an innovative teaching method.
