abstract:
Membranes of poly(oxa-p-phenylene-3,3-phtalido-p-phenylenxoxa-p-phenylenenexoxi-p-phenylene) (PEEK-WC) containing Ò-cyclodextrin (Ò -CD) derivatives (O-octyloxycarbonyl Ò -CD and monotosyl Ò -CD) have been prepared to investigate their catalytic behaviour towards the p-nitrophenyldiphenylphosphate (PNPDPP) hydrolysis. Membranes containing CD lead to very high reaction rate during the hydrolysis of PNPDPP. Best results were obtained using monotosyl Ò -CD 2.5 wt.% containing membrane at pH 8.
