abstract:
In the frame of Total Scattering methods, we show how the Debye equation is able to reproduce both Bragg and diffuse scattering in a powder diffraction pattern of nano-sized materials as it is directly collected in experiments. The Debye equation is derived from the physical principles underlying the radiation-matter interaction. The most relevant experimental aspects are outlined along with the data-correction issues.
