The extraordinary agility of humpback whales, one of the many species of whale, is due to their large pectoral fins with strange protuberances: they are tubercles, one of the elements that give the fins their great efficiency. Is it possible to adopt this expedient to improve the hydrodynamic profiles used for boats, especially the propeller blades?
