The evaluation of the resistance to treatment in the diagnosi of dyscalculia

Abstract:
A teaching method that has proven effective in the evaluation of resistance to the treatment in the diagnosis of dyscalculia will be at the centre of this presentation. According to the Italian Consensus Conference, the resistance to treatment is one of the main parameters to distinguish the learning disorder of dyscalculia from the learning difficulties. At the moment, a tested teaching method that provides objective data for the evalua- tion of resistance to the treatment in the diagnosis of dyscalculia, is not yet available. Therefore it is possible that different operators can produce different diagnosis for this disorder.
