Like the trim tabs, the interceptor (or intruder ) can be used both as a trim tab and as a stabilizer, as well as being fully extended across the transom or partially extended. Just as it can be mobile with variable protrusion, to be used similarly to the flaps to stabilize the hull and improve its performance
