Maricoltura associata a barriere artificiali

This paper summarises the researches carried out by IRPEM-CNR on the biological and technological possibilities for developing mariculture activities inside the artificial reefs deployed in the Adriatic sea. The most suitable times and technologies for shellfish and finfish culture were identified. Establishment of multi-purpose artificial reefs where different activities may be carried out at the same time significantly enhance the reef productivity and may be strongly effective under the economic point of view.
