abstract:
The area included in Sheet 337 "Norcia" covers two distinct hydrographic domains
and hydrogeological, having very different characteristics in terms of hydrogeological productivity
and direction of surface and underground outflows: a western sector,
where the carbonate units of the Reatini and Sibillini Mountains prevail, and a sector
east, where the Laga formation is predominant (Fig. 115). The western portion
is drained by the Nera and Corno rivers, tributaries of the Tiber, while the portion
east is drained by the Tronto River. Of particular interest is the transition band
between the two domains, where the main sources of the spring are present
area. The hydrological and hydrogeological characteristics will be illustrated below
of the two domains; the hydrogeological complexes, the main ones, will also be listed and described
hydrogeological structures, the main underground flow directions and sources
of the study area.
