abstract:
Plasmonic nanoparticles and graphene can be used for generating photothermal effects and for amplifying optical signals. These characteristics are being exploited for a variety of applications in biophotonics. Here we discuss some lightactivated materials based on plasmonic nanoparticles and graphene that we have recently developed as viable solutions to critical issues in therapy and sensing.
