Space-Vector Dynamic Model of Dual-Three Phase Induction Motors with Balanced and Unbalanced Structures in State Form

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2022
abstract:
This paper proposes a space-vector dynamic model of the dual three-phase induction motor that tries to overcome some limits of the previously developed models. It is expressed in state form assuming the stator current and the rotor flux as state variables and formalized in the stator reference frame. It has been written mathematically in such a way that the same structure of the dynamic model can be used in both structurally balanced and unbalanced working conditions. Moreover, the model describes the behavior of the motor for any open stator winding. The proposed dynamic model has been tested in numerical simulation and has been validated experimentally. To this aim, starting from an off-the-shelf traditional three-phase induction motor, a dual three-phase winding has been designed and constructed.
