COVID-19 and borders within regional integration processes: a multi-level governance analysis in the EU and MERCOSUR

The article aims at analyzing the institutional responses to the Covid 19 pandemic adopted on the borders at supra-national, national and local scale, comparing the cases of European Union and Mercosur. By focusing on the material and symbolic processes affecting borders and border management, the article aims at offering a wider understanding of the state of the integration processes in the two analyzed cases, in a muti-level governance perspective.
