Grammatica universale e mutamento linguistico: un'ipotesi teorica

Abstract:
In this paper, we attempt to construct a hypothesis that unifies in only one theoretical aspect the phenomena of diatoPic variability and of diachronic variability in the languages. The general theory, that we use, is the generative grammar. Particularly, we start moving from the criticism of Eric Lenneberg about the idea of a steady state, which defines the end of the process in order to obtain the grammatical competence. If we consider grammar in an unstable equilibrium, constituted by unstable but definable sets, and if we distinguish a linguistic organism and a linguistic environment in a structural way, than we can show how it's possible to turn a syntactic complex - synchronic and dynamic - from a state, arbitrarily chosen, into the following state. Finally, we try to supply some lines of research based upon our working hypothesis
