Shape analysis via skeleton segmentation

A method to decompose into regions a digital figure represented by its skeleton is proposed. Every regiorn enjoys "n" a priori given simplicity properties. The decomposition is represented by a tree, whose nodes and edges respectively correspond to the regions and to the adjacency relations arnong the regions.
