Automatic Generation of Maintenance Plans for Historical Residential Buildings

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2007
abstract:
In this paper we introduce an aid system for the maintenance management of historical residential buildings. The system supplies an aid in all management phases previewed by the programmed maintenance a well known maintenance methodology. In the data recording phase the system interface guides the user in structuring and recording the knowledge about a building, proposing recording categories that are intuitive for the user and that at the same time respect the UNI 8290 norm. In the planning operations phase, the system suggests the suitable control and repair actions and generates, in a automatic way, a twenty year maintenance plan (optimized). The categories to which belong the elements to restore and the spatial relations existing among the component parts of a building are the main planner inputs. In this work we present some examples of how the generation of the maintenance plans works and the main layout screenshots of the system interface.
