abstract:
A lensless acoustooptical convolver has been realized with surface acoustic waves, which relies on a technique of polarization discrimination detection of the diffracted light. A polarizer may, then, filter the light signal directly in the Fresnel field, thus allowing realization of a strictly compact device that retains properties of easy adjustment and simplicity.
