Storia e opera umana in Ernesto De Martino

In Ernesto de Martino's reflection, the history is characterized by two principal problems. The first one concerns the prejudices of the ethnology, the second one is the possibility of the human deed through the cultural organization of the nature. This essay aims to point out these assumptions, with a special regard upon the theorization of the nexus between myth and rite. With a special regard to the concept of economic, is possible to follow the elaboration of an history of subaltern popular world, that represents the tendency of de Martino"s thought toward the elaboration of an historia rerum gestarum of the mankind. In this way, the ethnographer can let emerge the content of truth from the ingens sylva of human history
