abstract:
In the field of electroactive polyheterocycles we have experienced that modest modificatíons of the chenical architecture of the monomeî may strongly
affect the charge transpoît propertíes of the resulting electropolymerízed material. Moreover the structural monomer variation influences the oxidation
potential and the electronic properties of the polymer. lJith the aim of obtaining 1ow energy gap polymers we envisaged two díthienobenzene structures as monomeric units with large n-electron delocalizatíon. Both molecules undergo to electropolymerization and give seniconducting poì-yners , which electronic ploperties and structural aspects will be considered and discussed.
