abstract:
This paper deals with some problems about static solutions of masonry domes, where the shape profile is spherical or unknown. In particular it's pointed out the effect of the lantern in the stress state of masonry domes. The ogival shells optimum profile of minimum weight udere the self-weight and the weight of the lantern in the topo of dome are also obtained.
