Dinamica del picoplancton e virioplancton nel Mar Piccolo di Taranto

Picoplankton includes both autotrophic and heterotrophic organisms of size <2mm. In order to test the relationships of these components with virioplankton we determined picoplankton, pico-phytoplankton and virioplankton dynamics in the Mar Piccolo of Taranto. Results evidenced that virioplankton could have a predatory effect on picoplankton in such polluted environment
