Abstract:
Information reported here concern recent toxic blooms of Alexandrium species (data from 2012) in an Ionian bay of Sicily, the Syracuse harbour. Evidence of the occurrence in surface waters of Alexandrium catenella is provided as a new record for this Mediterranean locality.
