Syn-gas production by BFB biomass gasification: Comparison study among White-pine, Posidonia Oceanica and Citrus peel feedstocks
Abstract
Data di Pubblicazione:
2017
Abstract:
In the last decade, the exploitation of different kind of biomasses in order to reduce the fossil-derived fuel have gained the attention of many researchers. Today, biofuels have become a significant alternative source of energy for a more sustainable world; furthermore, every year significant environmental problems are represented by the production of waste tons.
Solution: Conversion of wood, algae and agro-industrial residues through the gasification process into a syngas or rather in a hydrogen-rich mixture.
Aim: 1. Characterization of different biomasses in terms of ultimate proximate and thermo-decomposition analysis; 2. Investigate the possibility to use the biomass feedstock for the air/steam gasification process in a bubbling fluidized bed reactor; 3. Comparison of different kind of biomasses in order to obtain the max hydrogen yield.
