abstract:
Gracilaria is one of the main commercial seaweeds, cultivated in many countries to produce agar, an industrial colloid. By growing this alga on the wastewater of an aquaculture plant, pollution may be reduced and alga production costs lowered. Preliminary results of cultures of G. bursa-pastoris connected with a Seriola dumerilii aquaculture tank are presented.
