Calibration of the p-v Microflown® probe and some considerations on the physical nature of sound impedance

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2003
abstract:
The calibration of a pressure-velocity Microflown® probe has been performed using a 0.75 m standing wave tube according to the standard method described by H-E. de Bree [H-E. de Bree et al. "Realization and calibration of a novel half-inch p-v sound intensity probe, 106th AES, Munchen, 1999]. Some considerations on the physical nature of sound impedance or admittance considered as the p-v or v-p transfer function between two points within a general sound field are briefly reported.
