Alternate spin profile reconstruction in low-PMD fibers

abstract:
Any kind of spin profile transferred into fibers during the drawing process is accurately determined by exploiting a cut-back method together with a deterministic waveplate model. Reconstructed constant and sinusoidal spin profiles are shown. © 2005 Optical Society of America.
