abstract:
In this work a more systematic investigation on the interaction between CB and either CNT or nanoG in IR matrix was performed in the attempt to identify which filler parameters promote filler network formation and thus increase the dynamic modulus at low strain ampli-tudes of the material. Different IR based composites were prepared by melt blending: single-filler systems, obtained by adding only CB, CNT or nanoG, and hybrid filler systems, obtained by adding CB with CNT or with nanoG. Dynamic storage modulus at low strain amplitude (G'?min) was determined through dynamic-mechanical measurements in the torsion mode. The experimental values were elaborated according to models available in literature. The results were analyzed in the light of findings from TEM and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses of the nanocomposites structure.
