The breadth of Filippo Delpino's interests is reflected in the volume dedicated to him on the occasion of his 80th birthday, published in the journal he directed for many years. Starting from Etruria and Lazio, examining funerary customs, settlement life, and material culture in their iconographic significance, investigating their multifaceted aspects as reflections of community practices and identity models, the perspective expanded to encompass the entire Mediterranean. Moreover, the history of archaeological investigations in Etruria, the development and organization of antiquities preservation in Rome, the history of museology, and collecting constitute other meticulously considered themes. All of this is evidenced by the content of this volume, which includes contributions from numerous specialists, including many students and numerous friends and colleagues who enthusiastically joined, demonstrating esteem, affection, and participation for the scholar and colleague.
