Slamming and green-water phenomena on ships

External- and internal-ship (due to sloshing and water on deck) slamming phenomena and water shipping events have been systematically and comprehensively described. Main scenarios were identified. Quantitative and qualitative influence of physical parameters on slamming and water-on-deck loads was critically examined and the relevant factors identified. Theoretical, numerical and experimental tools have been complementarily or alternatively used to carry on the analysis.
