abstract:
The results of some studies of the Pisa Plain, comparing historical and archeological data with Landsat TM images, are reported here.
Ground-truth, based on soil grain size analyses and geo-elettrical soundings, has shown that both archeological/historical and remotely sensed data are reliable.
