abstract:
The goal of this study is to analyse the availability of workable days for ptowing process of most common crops adopted in two Italians areas. The workability index of each day is determined according to 5 classes soil-water content. A comparison of coun- ted days in each class of workability for the two periods 1971-2000 and 1981-2010 is done. Furthermore, workability days are compared with scenanos 2021-2050. For the future, results show an higher probabihty to plough in too dry soil conditions and this may affect soil fertility. Soil tillage management should consider to modify time or method to prepare seedbed of durum wheat.
