abstract:
In this chapter, an overview on traditional technologies (oxidation, coagulation/flocculation, and adsorption), including membrane pressure driving processes, together with a more detailed discussion on innovative membrane based technologies, such as forward osmosis (FO) and membrane contactors (MC), is reported.
