abstract:
The possibility to make available information held by the PA in open format (called Open Data)
represents an opportunity for the provincial community in terms of transparency, if it makes access
easier, both for the development of activities related to the use Free of certified information in the
government of the local communities, in enterprises, and in research.
Among the information produced by the PA, the spatial data in various digital formats represent a
strategic infrastructure component for the implementation of the Digital Italian and a component
information necessary for the creation of innovative services in the context of "Smart Cities" and
"Smart Communities "where spatial data combine a new paradigm of digital community and
support to research and innovation.
In recent years, the European Union through the INSPIRE (Infrastructure for Spatial Information in
Europe 2007) and the Italian State from Leg. 82/2005 (Government Code), have issued specific
rules that aim to build open solutions for the exchange and interoperability of data and their
availability, accessibility, usability and reusability.
The BAT Province, under the "Territorial Plan for Provincial Coordination (PTCP)" has created a
wealth of relevant Open Data in territorial value (see "Repeaters PTCP") and implemented services
and govemment-related to them that prove particularly useful to public administration particularly
in this time of transition to the digital dimension of the government of the local communities
characterized by open access and reuse of data and services for citizens through the network.
In this regard has been developed an architecture that integrates GIS Technology Tools and open
data can support the planner in assessing capably, the requirements, the addresses in the province,
through instruments that contextualize the geographic data of the PTCP in a scenario regional
databases. The integration of information technology and interoperability with other open data
pertaining Regional will effectively monitor the training programs of the municipal planning.
