Sensibilità spettrale in Talitrus saltator: Saggi Comportamentali

We tested the spectral sensitivity of Talitrus saltator (Crustacea, Amphipoda) with binary choice test. Our results confirm the sandhoppers preference for the light with wavelength in the blue range. Therefore, this preference can be modified by adapting the eyes of the individuals to blue light. Moreover we have obtained the first direct proof of the sensitivity of sandhoppers for the UV light.
