abstract:
In 2016 the Institute for Technologies Applied to Cultural Heritage of the National Council of Research,
Italy, (ITABC-CNR), in collaboration with the Nicosia Municipality and the Cyprus Institute, performed a
photogrammetric survey of the Nicosia walls on the Greek-Cypriot side and within the Nicosia Masterplan
project. The main goal of the survey was to create high quality data for cultural heritage, namely a detailed and
scientifically accurate Digital Replica (limited to color and geometry) of the walls, aimed at producing detailed
models at a territorial scale and, at the same time, experimenting new methods of quick documentation on
urban scale for the protection, study and documentation enhancement of the monument under investigation.
