Electrospun keratin-based nanofibers are ultrathin fibers with a diameter generally between 100 and 200 nm composed of keratin, a natural protein usually extracted from animal fibers. Nanofibers are traditionally produced by electrospinning, a physical process that involves electrostatic forces.
