The paper describes an application of a procedure based on the Principal Components Analysis, used to process multi-variated data, obtained with different techniques. The paper reports the processing steps of a set of multi-spectral data, produced by the inspection in the visible range of a calibrated colour sample, using both the procedure and the standard algorithms to convert multi-spectral data into colour coordinates. The paper shows the correspondences and the differences between the results given by the different approaches.
