Manganese recovery after bioleaching process

The recovery of manganese by bacterial assisted leaching may offer an alternative route to the conventional methods owing to selective dissolution, reduced capital and operative costs and simple operation. Electrowinning could be applied for the final recovery of manganese from the leach liquor after an adequate purification of the solution by chemical precipitation.
