Uso dei dati MIVIS per la mappatura delle superfici in aree urbane, con particolare attenzione al cemento-amianto

In the present paper we report the results of a preliminary study aiming to assess the potentiality of MIVIS hyperspectral data for land cover mapping and monitoring in a Rome sub-urban area, with special attention to the asbestos-cement covers. Data were processed by using a method known as Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM). The results of the study, although needed to be further validated, were considered promising. Therefore, they let to hypothesise a possible, operational use of MIVIS data on the environmental monitoring of urban areas.
