Realization of the ideas of A.M. Obukhov on ground-based remote sensing of the lower troposphere with acoustic and electromagnetic waves

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2015
abstract:
In four small papers published more than half a century ago, Academician A.M. Obukhov put the foundations of the theory of propagation and scattering of sound and electromagnetic waves in a turbulent atmosphere. All modern methods of ground-based sounding of the atmosphere, developed in the world, are based on this theory is. In this article, a brief description of each of the publications from this cycle which can be called "Waves and turbulence", is presented.
