The SM2RAIN code for estimating rainfall from soil moisture data was made freely available here. If you do not believe it is possible, try yourself! You can find the updates on the "Tutorial". We are continuously working for improving the method. So, for a more updated version of the code, please see: http://hydrology.irpi.cnr.it/repository/public/code/sm2rain/view The code is written in the MATLABĀ® programming language and is fully commented.
