Presenza del virus dell avvizzimento maculato del pomodoro (TSWV) su carciofo in Sardegna

Occurence of Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) on globe artichoke in Sardinia. The present paper reports the occurence of tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) on globe artichoke in a wide district of northern Sardinia. In 2006, the main artichoke growing areas in the island were surveyed with the aim of evaluating the diffusion of TSWV infections, using ELISA as detection method. In some samples positive to ELISA, the presence of TSWV was confirmed by electron microscopy observations and by mechanical inoculation to test plants.
