Comunicazione virale

Academic Article
Publication Date:
2021
abstract:
Viral communication Starting from the concept of infodemia, on which the WHO issued a global alert already in February 2020, we analyze the specific risks represented by information and communication. They are seen as risky by those who hold "power" (and/or knowledge) and are unwilling or unable to share knowledge. They are indeed risky due to misinformation and disinformation. They finally represent the heart of problem solving, if revisited and used in a participation/sharing/democracy key. What must be analyzed to understand what it means to do proper information and communication without trivializing? In order to exercise communication that meets ethical requirements (linked to accountability and democracy), the following must be considered: fears, for oneself and for others; the perception of risk, at a collective and individual level; the problems of risk governance; the actors in the field. A reflection on the place of COVID-19 in the environmental crisis makes us think about the possibility of taking charge as responsible and proactive actors, capable of acting by producing networks of meanings and positive actions.
