abstract:
Thin films of Cu(II)-tetrakis(3,3-dimethyl-butoxy-carbonyl)phthalocyanine, Cu(II)-tetrakis(n-butoxy-carbonyl)phthalocyanine and a 1:1 mixture of the two compounds were prepared by the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique. Monolayers were spread onto the water surface from different solutions and were transferred onto interdigitated alumina slides using the vertical lifting method. Dynamic response characteristics of the electrical conductance to different NO, concentration in dry air are presented. The NO, sensitivity as a function of temperature and response time for all multilayers has been analysed. The data show that the 1:1 mixture LB film has good perspective for gas sensors application. Finally electron diffraction analysis has been performed on these LB films and differences in structural order have been evidenced.
