abstract:
The paper reports upon a series of simulation experiments
carried out on variable displacement axial piston pumps
equipped with pressure and flow compensators, within a
standardized environment. Five different schemes of the
swashplate control circuit are introduced and tested by
forcing the pump load and flow inputs. The relevant
responses are discussed and estimated by steady state and
dynamic figures of merit. On this basis, the control
schemes are compared, and their relative merits and drawbacks
enlightened.
