abstract:
The application of the mesoscopic lattice Boltzmann (LB) method to the dynamics of a three-species, two charged ionic species plus a neutral solvent, nanofluid was discussed. Three-dimensional density fields for solvent and anionic species in a typical simulation set up was also carried out. The characteristic curves at different Debye lengths always obey Ohm's law to high accuracy. The results indicate that the Lattice-Boltzmann-Poisson (LBP) method was capable of predicting a number of quantitative aspects of electrorheological transport phenomena in a charged nanofluid.
