On the use of lattice Fokker-Planck models for hydrodynamics

A recently proposed numerical scheme to solve the Fokker-Planck equation within the lattice Boltzmann framework is adapted to solve the equations of hydrodynamics. The scheme is discussed, tested on cavity flow simulations, and compared to existing lattice Boltzmann methods. © EDP Sciences.
