abstract:
A new edition of Leonardo Sciascia's collected works is currently being published by Adelphi in its 'La Nave Argo' series, with part one of the second volume having recently appeared. This essay reviews Adelphi's progress to date: it compares its arrangement of texts with that in Bompiani's 'Classics' series; cites two poems by Sciascia which Adelphi has omitted from its volumes of individual works; and offers some thoughts on the proposed content of part two of volume two (Sciascia's essays on literature, history and society).
