Abstract
In this paper I'm willing to show some significant pictures taken by Paolo Monti in Campania, result of a broad relation network started by the artist beginning from the sixties.
The archive of the famous exponent of Italian modern photography, of historical interest, subjected by authorities to the discipline of the code of cultural heritage and landscape, keeps several negatives, prints, chemigram and documents that testimony the fruitful activities, including editorial, of the artist. Monti, first as a passionate amateur photographer, after several acquaintances with venetian photographers, critics, historian and gallery owner, with a profound cultural background, moves in Milan in 1943 where he starts professional photography career. Open towards new tendencies, capable of dialoguing with architecture, art and surroundings, he imprinted to each and any of the pictures his personal style and language, which made him a true life cultural guide of Italian photography during late twentieth century.
